On October 26, 2024, the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), hosted its annual Open Day, welcoming prospective students and visitors from across the region to explore its academic programs, clubs, and vibrant campus life. Held on the AUIS campus, the event provided attendees with an in-depth introduction to the university’s educational offerings, research opportunities, and student organizations, all designed to prepare students for future success in Iraq and beyond. 

The Open Day featured a series of department booths, and interactive sessions hosted by AUIS faculty, staff, and current students. Each academic department had the chance to share insights into its curriculum, faculty expertise, and student success stories, giving visitors a comprehensive understanding of the programs available at AUIS. The event aimed to help students and their families make informed decisions about higher education by highlighting AUIS’s commitment to high-quality, American-style education in Iraq. 

In addition to academic programs, the Open Day highlighted AUIS’s vibrant student clubs and extracurricular activities. Student representatives from clubs across various interests, including cultural heritage, arts, sports, and technology, were available to discuss their activities and achievements.
