Laura Schlichting has over 10 years of experience teaching in higher education in Iraq, Egypt, China, and the US. She has led teacher training programs focused on integrating language learning into broader curriculum and interactive teaching techniques. Additionally, she has researched and presented on incorporating technology, particularly podcasts, into the classroom at conferences in Asia and the US.

Laura joined AUIS in 2022 and currently teaches first-year composition. She earned an M.A. in TESOL from American University of Cairo, and a B.A. in English from the University of Minnesota.
