Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform various activities related to the operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, sanitary, and irrigation systems as required by the Facilities Management department.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance for equipment and systems, as well as non-scheduled or emergency maintenance when necessary to support operations.
  • Maintain accurate monthly and annual records of all equipment and system repairs andmaintenance, including remarks for inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Analyze and solve mechanical problems that cause interruptions or affect equipment efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to perform mechanical repairs, reinstall, and operate equipment.
  • Be available outside of normal working hours to respond to facility maintenance situations.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and repair parts for mechanical installations to ensure timely maintenance and installations.
  • Conduct repairs on HVAC systems, controls, plumbing and sanitary systems, exhaust fans, and other equipment and accessories, including calibration of HVAC, irrigation, and sanitary system controls.
  • Make recommendations for modifications to support demand or improve efficiency.
  • Organize and direct technicians for maintenance and installation works to achieve the best results in the shortest possible time.
  • Perform all work in a manner that conforms to accepted safety standards and code of practices.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Supervise technicians for other repair and maintenance activities, such as painting, carpentry, caulking and sealing, installing shelves, and similar tasks as assigned.
  • Undertake additional duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Facilities Management.
     

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience.
  • High ability to work in a teamwork spirit.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD programs.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and good communication skills in Kurdish and Arabic.
