Profile

Dr. Dana Khdr Sabir is an Associate Professor of Molecular Microbiology at Charmo University, Iraq. With over 15 years of academic and research experience, he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at several universities in Iraq and abroad. His teaching portfolio spans a wide range of subjects in the biological sciences, including Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medical Bacteriology, and Molecular Biology. 

Dr. Dana is a dedicated and prolific researcher, having authored more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals. His research focuses on infectious diseases, molecular diagnostics, microbial genomics, and public health challenges—particularly those impacting Iraq and the wider Middle East. He has also actively contributed to academic capacity- building through his involvement in various professional development programs. In 2017, Dr. Dana was awarded a place in the prestigious Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, where he received advanced training in innovative teaching methodologies and cutting-edge research techniques at the University of Central Oklahoma, USA. This experience significantly enriched his academic practice, both in the classroom and the laboratory.
