As part of UNAMI's reconciliation work to ensure a stable and peaceful post-ISIL phase in Iraq, AUIS conducted a study on the shifting structures of power and political economy of the disputed territories, specifically Kirkuk, Salah al-Din and Diyala. The research was intended to empower UNAMI to advise and facilitate dialogue on the outstanding disagreement related to the disputed territories, thereby enhancing peaceful coexistence amongst communities and support efforts for an inclusive national reconciliation.
