About
Dr. Zeindon Alkinani is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute of Regional and International Studies (IRIS), a Middle East political analyst, and the Founding Director of the Arab Perspectives Institute. He previously taught at Georgetown University in Qatar and the University of Aberdeen, where he also earned his PhD in Politics and International Relations. Beyond academia, Dr. Alkinani leads strategic initiatives within the educational and innovative non-profit sectors across Qatar and the wider MENA region. A regular media commentator and frequent panelist at major policy conferences, he is the author of a forthcoming Routledge book exploring ingroup rivalries in consociational democracies, with a specific focus on post-2003 Iraq.
