On March 13, 2022, IRIS research interns met with Ms. Lahib Higel, senior analyst for the International Crisis Group, Iraq. Ms. Higel gave a brief overview of the current Iraqi political scene and discussed its influences on ongoing and future civilian protection efforts in the post-ISIS m and disputed territories. The roundtable was organized as part of the IRIS Research Capacity Building Internship supported by the AHRC-FCDO Collaborative Humanitarian Protection Research Programme and co-implemented by the GPPi.
