The Artful Mind Community project aims to empower orphans by providing them with unique opportunities to pursue their dreams through education, awareness, and art. The project, supported by the AUIS community, unfolded in multiple sessions, each designed to provide a unique and enriching experience for the orphans. Most of the sessions took place at the Moulakis Library on the AUIS campus. The sessions were English lectures, reading and discussions, art activities, puzzling, teaching them to make jewelry, and meditation sessions.

First Session:
Moulakis Library in collaboration with the AUIS book club managed a book session for the students in fall 2023 semester. This project is an ongoing project that the library is planning to continue in the following semesters, each semester with different topics and choosing different books. The topic of this project was “How Can We Understand Human Life and Development by Reading Kafka? About the book written by Kafka “The Metamorphosis”. The project was presented by Ms. Goshan Mohammed and the student book club leader Mohammed Salih. At the end of the project, we received positive feedback from our students and faculty members who participated, and they confirmed that it was a good opportunity to hear different perspectives and opinions about the book and see how different readers understood the main concept and how it was related to the topic of the project.
