IRIS Non-Resident Fellow Dr. Mark DeWeaver, emerging-markets fund manager and ISX investor, independent economist, and author, has published a report on 'Kurdistan's Great Recession: From Boom to Bust in the Rentier Economy'. The report is based on several weeks of fieldwork he conducted this October and November with the support of five American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) student research assistants. Prior to publishing the report, Dr. DeWeaver shared his findings with a carefully selected group of experts and industry leaders during a lively roundtable discussion held at AUIS October 22.
