Filip is a graduate of the master’s degree in Regional and Political Geography at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. Filip is currently studying Ph.D. program Regional and Political Geography with a focus on the geopolitics of the Middle East and its regional dynamics and internal processes. His research theme is the Iraqi electoral geography and the governance mechanisms within the Iraqi disputed territories. Sommer is also an analyst for the Middle East at the Association for International Affairs (AMO) Research Center based in Prague.
