Dr. Sameh W. Al-Muqdadi is a Senior Fellow at IRIS. Dr. Al-Muqdadi is +25 years expert in water politics and climate security, holding a PhD in water resource management (2012) and a Postdoc in environmental hydrology and climate change impact using scientific diving (2013) from TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany, another Postdoc in water conflict and resolution from Oregon State University, USA (2018), Professional Diploma in Leadership and Public Policy- American University of Sharjah, UAE (2015), and Certified Microfinance Expert from Frankfurt School finance and Management (2014). He is the Managing Director for Relief International in Iraq, Chairman of Sanad Organization for Economic Development, and Research Director of the Green Charter GC. Dr. Sameh Al-Muqdadi has led numerous international academic and economic development projects across Europe and the Middle East, focusing on water governance, water politics, climate change security, and a green, sustainable economy.
