Dr. Hussein Mishbak is a non-resident research fellow at IRIS, contributing to the Iraq Economic Review with a focus on the local economy in Thi Qar province. Dr. Mishbak earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Manchester, UK, in 2019. Additionally, he completed an executive diploma in the Iraqi Public Policy and Leadership Program at the American University of Sharjah from July 2021 to May 2022. Hussein dedicates his career to biotechnology, environmental sustainability, and addressing the impacts of climate change, with the goal of driving excellence in higher education. Over the past decade, he has become a sought-after speaker, delivering over twenty talks across the globe, including in Brazil, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Africa, Portugal, and the UAE.
