On July 27, IRIS hosted the third alumni gathering of the Iraq Leadership Fellows program, funded by the DT Institute. The event, attended by 50 graduates from across Iraq, featured inspiring remarks from the esteemed Iraqi novelist, Mr. Ali Badr. He shared his insights on literature and its profound impact on leadership.
Ms. Ala Talabani, former MP, also made a significant contribution, discussing the challenges women face in politics and drawing on her extensive experience in the Iraqi Parliament, where she served for four terms.
The gathering included success stories from ILF alumni, highlighting achievements in education, political engagement, and organizational growth. This event follows the previous gatherings held in Baghdad and Beirut, with the aim of supporting Iraq's emerging social and political leaders to create effective networks across different provinces of Iraq and KRI, and fostering their role in bringing about the positive change to their local communities.
