Position Description:

Responsibilities:
We are seeking an (Assistant Professor or Senior Lecturer) Expert with a strong background in international and Iraqi laws. The position is one full-time that is distributed between two candidates, one who can teach law courses in English and the other who can teach law courses in Arabic.
In addition to teaching, the candidate will contribute to curriculum development, mentor students, tasks related to the administration of the Law Program, and engage in scholarly research. Faculty members at AUIS are expected to participate in departmental and university service, including advising students, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to university initiatives.

The Department :
The Law Program at AUIS is the first program in Iraq that teaches law in both Arabic and English. The program is unique as it blends the characteristics of both Civil Law and Common Law legal systems into the methods of teaching law. It focuses on training students to interpret and examine legal texts along with the adversarial methods that are used in the Common Law system. AUIS law graduates will be able to practice law in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. They can also pursue their graduate studies abroad by getting LLM or PhD in law.

Key responsibilities include data preparation, model training, evaluation, and deploying models on our in-house infrastructure. The appointed faculty member will be expected to teach a wide range of courses related to AI, ML, and Robotics, with an emphasis on specialized courses such as Algorithms and Data Structures, AI Applications, Data Science and Analytics, Computer Vision, Large Language Models, and Machine Learning.
