Roundtable: Climate & Health Security in Iraq and the Middle East
Climate change is reshaping health risks across Iraq and the Middle East—driving shifts in disease patterns, straining medical infrastructure, and compounding vulnerabilities in conflict-affected and displaced communities. Rising temperatures, pollution, and water scarcity are increasingly linked to respiratory illness, vector-borne disease, and chronic health challenges. This roundtable will explore how climate impacts are transforming the health landscape in fragile settings and what forms of coordination, adaptation, and investment are needed to build more resilient health systems.
