Jan Warner

Jan Warner likes exploring all aspects of her creativity. She also cares deeply about social justice. Jan has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and has worked in child abuse prevention and suicide prevention. She owned a bookstore called the Turning Page. She produced a conference called The Resilience of the Human Spirit. The presenters were poets who have survived genocide and political terror. This was made into a Katja Esson’s documentary: Poetry of Resilience. Jan produced documentaries including Ferne Pearlstein’s: The Last Laugh. She produced an off Broadway play with Hayley Mills called Party Face. Her Facebook page Grief Speaks Out has 2.4 million likes from almost every country in the world. Grief Day by Day: Simple Practices and Daily Guidance for Living With Loss is her first book. Jan is a bit of a vagabond and has been to all seven continents. The most valued part of her life is time spent with her daughter Erin and her granddaughter Gwendolyn.
