The CGDS team is active in scholarship and has a strong record of publication in a variety of areas: ancient history, disability studies, journalism, poetry, translation, women’s health, and of course gender studies. We publish in academic, journalistic, and literary venues, and we participate in media events, festivals, conferences, and readings.
Team members from CGDS are active in many areas of research, both individually and collaboratively. Our research interests include disability, women's health, women's history, gender and genocide, gender and migration, women's literature, and symbolic reparation. Our current projects include interdisciplinary interview projects at the Women’s Prison and the Women’s Mental Hospital in Sulaimani, and investigating women’s role in the Kurdish revolution.
