Commemorating Women's Literary Contributions: Panel Event in Celebration of March 8th

In celebration of March 8th, a panel was organized in Sulaimani by the Kurdish Library, Archive, and Research Center. The panel featured women activists, academics, and NGO members and aimed to recognize the literary work of Narmin Osman, Choman Hardi (focused on Anfal women survivors), and Farida. Choman Hardi, CGDS Director, noted the historical significance of March 8th, acknowledging the sacrifices made by women in the fight for their rights. Her book on women survivors of Anfal was first published in English in 2011, subsequently translated into Turkish, and is currently undergoing translation into Kurdish. Approximately 30 women activists attended the event to commemorate and reflect on the contributions and struggles of women throughout history.
