Embarking on a book tour from June to July 2023, Dr. Choman Hardi, Director of CGDS, traveled across the United Kingdom to launch her latest novel "Whispering Walls." In this novel, she explores themes of family and their troubled past, set right before the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Starting on June 29th at King's College London, renowned for its global academic influence and cutting-edge research, Dr. Hardi engaged with a diverse audience. Continuing her literary journey, she visited the Poetry Pharmacy on July 1st, followed by a session at the Exiled Writer Café on July 4th. A highlight occurred on July 5th at the "Wave of Nostalgia" bookstore, known for its focus on inspiring women and inclusivity. This visit added depth to her exploration of diverse themes within "Whispering Walls." The second-to-last stop of the tour was Blackwells Manchester on July 10th, where she connected with literature enthusiasts. It was a full house with around 60 attendees, including writers, authors, filmmakers, and activists from different backgrounds. Finally, the journey concluded on July 11th at Stanford Bookshop, also with a full house, marking its finish.
