We are delighted to share that Savan Abdulrahman, CGDS research assistant contributing to our Masculinity research project, recently completed a six-day literature residency in the Erbil governorate. The residency, held from November 13th to 18th, was organized by Goethe-Institut Irak and supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. Throughout the six days, fourteen participants engaged in discussions and collaborative work on various forms of writing and expressions. Guided by esteemed writers Maha Hassan, a Kurdish Syrian novelist, and Muhsin Al-Ramli, an Iraqi poet, translator, and novelist, the participants embarked on a journey exploring the realms of the internal and external.
