Dr. Twana A. Hassan participated in the Middle East Peace and Security Forum held at the American University of Duhok from November 19 to 21. It was organized by the American University of Duhok for experts and scholars in the areas of politics, economy, and law. The sessions focused on Iraqi federalism, the ongoing tensions between Kurdistan and the central government in Iraq, the role of the Iraqi Federal Court, and the environmental challenges in the region. He contributed to the legal and judicial aspects of the presented issues.
