On April 10, 2022, Dr. Choman Hardi was interviewed by the Youth Network to discuss her research, teaching, and poetry on women’s rights. She talked about her personal journey of returning to Kurdistan after 26 years of displacement, establishing the Center for Gender and Development Studies, and the backlash she faces because of her work. She also discussed the opportunities and problems associated with the quota system in Iraq, the barriers faced by women leaders, and the status of the women’s rights movement in the Kurdistan region.
