On Monday, April 11 2022, Dr. Lynn Rose, CGDS Director of Disability Studies, visited Dr. Kani Salar Osman, who directs the Special Education Department at Sulaimani University. Ms. Giota Magga, AUIS Instructor of Mathematics, was also present, along with two guests from Bath Spa University in the UK, Dr. Anne Parfitt and Dr. Caroline Whiting, both from the School of Education. We spoke about the challenges of training and teaching in special education, as well as the need for education beyond the classroom. We hope to collaborate with both Sulaimani University and Bath Spa University.
