“The Perception of Gender Roles in Kurdistan and the Kurdish Culture” Named One of Two Top Papers for 2021

Raz Abdulla is from Sulaimani and is currently a senior student majoring in English Literature and double minoring in Gender Studies and International Studies at AUIS. She has worked with CGDS as a research assistant. Ms. Raz is a member of AUIS Voice and is very passionate about learning and writing, especially about gender-based causes and social justice. She recently presented her research in the symposium on Gender and Islam, and currently, she is contributing to a book project by Dr. Shakir by writing a chapter titled "History of Human Rights Violations in Kurdistan.
