CGDS Participates in “Methods, Creativity, Innovation”

Held January 25-29, 2021, this online convention of the Gender, Justice, and Security Hub, funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), highlighted the research progress of several international groups. The convention, titled Methods, Creativity, Innovation, highlighted the hub's creative and participatory methods as well as the creativity and innovation utilized by hub participants to deal with the challenges of Covid 19.

CGDS participated in two panels. Dr. Choman Hardi, CGDS Director and co-director of the “Masculinities and Sexualities” hub, was a speaker in the opening panel, “Engaging with Arts: Research, Methods and Dissemination.” Mr. Rasti Ranj, the Hub Regional Manager, chaired the session “Ethnography and Gender: An Intersectional Approach in the Case of KRI.” Dr. Choman also spoke in this panel, along with Dr. Twana Abdwlrahman, CGDS’s Post-Doctoral Research Fellow for the project, and Ms. Bahar Munzir, Director of People’s Development Organization and CGDS’s partner in the project.
