We also discussed preparations for World Disability Day, which is held annually on December 3. Mr. Hawbash Noaman, Director of the Blind Union and Mr. Shanaw Peshraw were joined by Mr. Hareem Hama Sharif and Mr. Bryar Raauf, a member of the Cottage NGO. Dr. Lynn Rose, CGDS Deputy Director, and Ms. Tara Burhan, EU MENA Community Coordinator, hosted the group.

Photo description: There are two images. One shows six people seated at a light brown rectangular table. Two women, one with shoulder-length hair and one with long hair obscuring her face are on the left, and a man with short dark hair, wearing a mask, is at the head of the table. Two men wearing masks, one with short dark hair and one with short dark hair and a short beard, along with a third man with short dark hair and a beard, are on the right side of the table. On the table we see notebooks, cell phones, a box of masks, disposable coffee cups, and plastic water glasses. The other image is a circular logo with an outer ring of white, with Blind of Kurdistan written in black all-caps in the lower range, and the same, in Kurdish, in the upper range. On each side of the outer circle is a small stylized pair of glasses, in white, in a small black circle. The inner circle is divided into three equal fields of, from top to bottom, red, white, and green. The central figure in the inner circle is a stylized person in yellow facing to the right and holding a white cane to the front.
