CGDS is happy to announce that Shanya Mohammed Saeed joined our team on October 23rd as part of our UNFPA grant project to empower women in Kurdistan and Iraq. Ms. Shanya was born in Sulaymaniyah – Kurdistan, Iraq. She holds a BA degree in English Language and Literature from the Department of English – University of Slemani. She has experience in working with I/NGOs as peacebuilding facilitator and mediator, conflict management, working with people from different backgrounds, and working on the role of women in peacemaking at the Global Youth Organization and Un Ponte Per. She also has experience working in the administration department at Crescent Petroleum – Dana Gas for a drilling project. Ms. Shanya’s favorite part of working with CGDS is the supportive environment and equal opportunity. She says that CGDS is a place to work with professional and talented people. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, writing, acting, and graphic design. Welcome to CGDS, Shanya!
