Dr. Lynn Rose, CGDS Deputy Director, gave a plenary talk for the first World Disability and Rehabilitation Virtual Conference, held on June 26th, 2020, in Sri Lanka (via Zoom). The conference was sponsored by the World Disability and Rehabilitation Professional Association and The International Institute of Knowledge Management. The title of Dr. Lynn’s speech was “Disabling Myths,” in which she talked about he importance of building access during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Lynn also served as an evaluator of nine presentations. Conference speakers came from Bangladesh, Greece, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the U.S. CGDS takes an intersectional approach to gender equity, with disability justice as one of the top priorities.
