CGDS attends SPARK

On February 17 and 18, 2020, Dr. Lynn Rose, CGDS Deputy Director, and Mr. Ali Azeez, CGDS Research Assistant, attended the inaugural events of SPARK’s project, Creating Perspective for Jobs for Refugees, in Erbil. The events were held at the Erbil Polytechnic University, which, along with the University of Mosul, will partner with SPARK in this project, which blends education with business. The centerpiece of the event was a workshop on the Bologna Process by Dr. E. Burak Arikan, International Office Director at Nisantasi University, Istanbul.  CGDS is among several components of the team, which will work to offer accessible and gender sensitive educations to underrepresented university students in Erbil and Mosul.
