Dr. Choman Hardi, Dr. Lynn Rose, and Mr. Miran Fattah visited Mr. Jamal Hussain, Director General in the Ministry of Culture, in his Erbil offices, on Sunday, October 13th, 2019. Along with exchanging basic updates about each other’s work, we discussed progress with the August 2018 decree, from the Minister of Higher Education, to institute a gender curriculum in all universities in the KRG. CGDS is well placed to contribute to this goal, having received funding from the EU to make gender studies accessible to academics in the MENA region.
