Dastan Jasim
The Center for Gender and Development Studies is hosting Ms. Dastan Jasim, a master’s student of Political Sciences and Assyriology at the University of Heidelberg. She obtained a scholarship, the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, that allows her to do fieldwork in Kurdistan. She worked with a not-for-profit research institution in Erbil for the first three months of her scholarship, and will complete her six months of work in KRI with CGDS. Ms Dastan has worked on democratization and Marxist and feminist theories. She works both quantitatively and qualitatively and has published several articles on the region of Kurdistan. She will be in Sulaimani with CGDS through the end of September. Please help us welcome Ms. Dastan.
