CGDS Director, Dr. Choman Hardi was interviewed by NRT English in response to the inclusion of 3 women Ministers in the 9th cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government. She emphasized on the importance of women’s participation in the political arena and the utilization of United Nations 1325 agenda to secure women’s participation in governance, negotiations, and peace building. Dr. Hardi expressed her frustration and dissapointment with the political forces, largely dominated by men, to secure a minimum of 30% representation for women in the new cabinet.
