Representatives from DCO (Dialogue and Culture, an NGO founded in 2015 and active in 162 countries), visited the Center for Gender and Development Studies on Sunday, June 30, 2019. Ms. Srusht Rauf Amin and Mr. Mohammed Abdulaziz are in the process of creating connections locally and internationally, and reached out to CGDS in order to discuss collaboration. DCO has seven platforms: academics, cultural diversity, media, Kurdish dialogue, arts, politics, and women, the latter of which they plan to implement in the coming months. Ms. Srusht described the organization as having humanist principles; Mr. Mohammed emphasized the importance of dialogue with diverse groups. Dr. Choman Hardi, CGDS’ director, offered trainings that would focus on human rights and boundaries in conjunction with the launch of DCO’s women’s platform.
