On May 15, 2022, CGDS visiting scholar Dastan Jasim gave a presentation on her Ph.D at the Choman Cultural Center in the city of Choman. She discussed the purpose, challenges, and outcomes of her fieldwork. The Center is known to many as a unique meeting space for the lively community of Choman and offers many courses and seminars to the locals, including English language or painting courses. Thanks to the gracious invitation of the Choman Cultural Center, Dastan Jasim was able to present her first findings and get into in-depth discussions and conversations with the attending audience on the question of the similarities and differences in political culture among Kurds in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey.
