On 22 November, Dr. Lynn Rose, CGDS Director of Research and Disability Studies, presented “The Rights of Special Education Students” at the conference “For a Comprehensive Education.” The conference was hosted by the Halabja Disabled Organization (HDO) and funded by fida, a Finnish NGO that supports community development. In attendance were about 100 faculty and students from Halabja University’s College of Basic Education. The College cooperates with HDO to support accessible education and to train future teachers in inclusive education.
