The Center for Gender and Development Studies participated in Europe Day on Sunday, June 16, in Baghdad. The European Union awarded CGDS a substantial grant for gender education development in the MENA region in October 2019. Dr. Choman, the founding director of CGDS, summarized our accomplishments in the first of two panels of the day. The EU Ambassador to Iraq Ramon Blecua moderated the panel discussion. The EU grant projects, now well underway, will be finalized in fall 2020.
