On October 1st, 2019, CGDS Director Dr. Choman Hardi, EU Project Manager Mr. Shko Shwan, Hub Regional Manager Mr. Rasti Ranj, and LSE Project Manager Mr. Miran Fattah met with Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Qubad Talabani. Also present in the meeting were Dr. Yusif Goran, the previous Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Dr. Peshawa Muhammed, the previous Director of Kurdology.
The purpose of the meeting was to introduce CGDS’s mission, vision, and the EU project to His Excellency. In the meeting, the CGDS team discussed approaches aligned with international goals for gender equality, especially the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and the 2016 KRG Strtegy to end violence against women. His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Qubad Talabani expressed his support of and commitment to gender equality.
