CGDS Gains Institutional Membership in the Disability History Association

CGDS is proud to support The Disability History Association (DHA) as an institutional member. The DHA is an international non-profit organization that promotes the study of disabilities throughout history. This includes, but is not limited to, the history of individuals or groups with disabilities, perspectives on disability, representations/ constructions of disability, policy and practice history, teaching, theory, and Disability and related social and civil rights movements. In addition, membership for two students scholars will allow CGDS’ ability to connect in solidarity with a growing network of scholars, activists, institutions, organizations, and community members committed to the promotion of disability history. CGDS takes an intersectional approach to gender equity, considering all oppressed and minority groups as a systemic issue of imbalance.
