On February 5, 2022, Dr. Choman Hardi delivered an online seminar to 200 female students from sixteen universities across the Kurdistan region. The seminar, which was titled "The Importance of Feminist Consciousness for Young Women," was part of the Women Empowerment and Leadership Program, organised by Germian University and the International Friendship Organization.
The four-week program aims to raise awareness amongst and support the development of young women through a series of seminars delivered by women from different fields of expertise. Students from the following universities participated in the seminars: Germian, Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic, Charmw, Erbil Polytechnic, Koya, UKH, Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk, Zakho, Halabja. Soran, Salahadeen, Dohuk Polytechnic, AUIS, Cihan, and Raparin.
This activity is part of the Gender, Justice and Security Hub, supported by the UK Research and Innovation. It aims to share feminist knowledge with and empower different sectors of the community.
