CGDS is happy to announce that an article by Dr. Lynn Rose, CGDS Deputy Director, has been published in Opción 24, Special Edition 35 (2019): 473-485 (ISSN 1012-1587/ISSNe: 2477-9385). The article, “Unlearning Learned Helplessness by Volunteerism and Service-Learning,” summarizes service-learning and volunteerism at AUIS, and highlights the service-learning course developed by CGDS director Dr. Choman Hardi, “Social Justice.” The course is one example of CGDS’s mission to combine teaching, research, and community service in an intersectional approach to gender justice.
