Building a society in which women enjoy equal rights to men requires the participation of women in the decision-making process and in legislating laws that protect women’s and girls’ interests. Women need to be involved in policy making, governance, peace building, and conflict resolution to ensure that laws, policy, governance, budgeting, planning, and project implementations are sensitive to women’s needs.
