Dr. Twana was born in Kurdistan, studied and worked in five countries Iraq, Canada, USA, UK and Australia. Now he works as Post-Doc Research Fellow and he joined the team on September 2020. He has BA in Law: University of salahaddin-Erbil, LL.M in Law: University of California, Davis, LL.M in Public International Law, University of London, Queen Mary, PhD in Law, University of Queensland. His work Background includes working as a lecturer, researcher, project manager, journalist, and legal advocate has more than 10 years of experience in the field of human rights and law; worked for government, universities, private sector, and international NGOs. He loves to travel, enjoys the wonders of nature in different places, playing soccer, sharing time with family and friends; of course, everything with coffee and music. Favorite part about working for CGDS: the Center is an ideal working environment with friendly and talented colleagues dedicated to gender justice; The most exciting part about CGDS is the opportunity of building a bridge between academia, policy makers, the media, civil society and the community for advancing women rights; Also, with a solid plan and dedication, everyone has a great chance for personal and professional development while working with CGDS.
