Shara Kamil (Zheer) Nizamaddin, Adjunct Lecturer

Shara is a molecular geneticist and a clinical biochemist; she obtained her MS in Molecular Genetics from MTSU in the USA, along with a Graduate Higher Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry. Shara is currently a PhD candidate majoring in Molecular Medicine and Diagnostics, conducting her researches in cancer field at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and UT Health Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Shara has more than 9 years of academic teaching experience at different universities in Kurdistan, teaching different subjects including Clinic al Biochemistry; Biology, Molecules, Genes and Disease; Food Science; and Critical thinking and Scientific Debates. Besides, she has 10 years of medical lab working experience at multiple hospitals in Kurdistan as a senior and USA as a research intern. Her last appointment was at the Molecular Diagnostics Lab in MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also a certified advance trainer, she has been collaborating with the US Embassy and Consulate in Iraq, and the University of Cincinnati as a team leader conducting multiple workshops to university professors, graduates and undergraduates, as a volunteer.
Shara is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP), American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), and the Society of Chemists and Physics.
