Sumer co-authors article on economy and the Kurdistan referendum for the British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies

The British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies published an article co-authored by AUIS Assistant Professor and Business Department Chair Dr. Fahrettin Sumer on February 11, 2018.

Titled “The paradox of the Iraqi Kurdish referendum on independence: contradictions and hopes for economic prosperity,” the article examines the economic climate of the Kurdistan Region since 2014 and events leading up to the independence referendum in September 2017.

Dr. Sumer co-authored the piece with Jay Joseph of the Department of Business and Management at the University of Kurdistan Hewler in Erbil. The article can be found at Taylor & Francis Online.
