Kurdistan Regional Government Scholarships

The donation from the Kurdistan Regional Government has enabled AUIS to offer scholarships and incentives for talented students.

The 2013 KRG Academic Excellence Scholarship Program offered a full merit-based scholarship to high achievers who had achieved a baccalaureate score of 85 percent or higher, to be renewed every year of their academic program. In 2014, the university announced a discount of more than 90 percent of normal tuition fees for high scoring applicants to AUIS.

Dawar Fuad is one of the bright students who were offered a full academic scholarship to attend AUIS. Fuad is from Halabja in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and is currently enrolled in the Academic Preparatory Program at AUIS which prepares students for their  chosen undergraduate program. Paul Craft, former director of enrollment at AUIS said, “AUIS recognizes academic excellence and strives to enroll the best students regardless of income level and family background. To ensure that we admit and enroll top students from the Kurdistan region and Iraq, AUIS provides merit-based financial support to incoming students.”
