Saja Al-Nahi will be an IRIS Visiting Researcher from September 2019 to March 2020. Saja holds a bachelor and master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a doctoral student at the University of Sussex, where she is also a researcher at the Centre for International Education and Development, assessing the impact of Jordanian government programmes on refugee integration in Jordan, from a quantitative perspective. Saja’s doctoral dissertation examines the development of new technology training education programmes offered by NGOs and humanitarian enterprise, throughout Iraq. By working with relevant NGOs, policy makers, host communities, and displaced youth, the research will explore policy governance and the aspirations of participants. Saja has worked in senior research roles focused on technology governance, political narratives in digital media, and education policies in fragile states. She is an Iraqi-American.
