Inna Rudolf is Visiting Researcher at IRIS from January 2019 to December 2019. She is currently pursuing her PhD at King’s College London’s Department of War Studies. She also serves as a Research Fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) at King’s College London. Focusing on the hybridization of security sector governance, in her PhD thesis she analyses the evolving relationship between the Iraqi state and the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) as a state-sanctioned paramilitary umbrella. She completed her master’s degree in political science and Islamic studies in 2012 at the University of Heidelberg, specializing in International Conflict Research and Political Islam. Prior to joining ICSR, she has been representing the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt in the Middle East and North Africa region.
