Hayley Sterling is a graduate of Seattle University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies and Gonzaga University with an M.A. TESL. Her dissertation research focused on faculty perceptions of “globalization” and to what extent those perceptions were related to “internationalization of the curriculum” as well as perceptions of administrative support for internationalization efforts. Prior to working in the APP program in from 2014-2017, she worked in the United States with Gonzaga University’s ESL program and in China at Húnán Shīdà Fùzhōng teaching academic English courses as well as training for the TOEFL and IELTS through Suny New Paltz. In 2017, she again went to China working with Wenzhou-Kean University teaching academic written discourse, composition and political science courses. In August of 2019, she again returned to AUIS (her home away from home) and is currently working in the APP bridge program (concurrent program) teaching both academic reading, writing, and university skills.
