We are the starting point for all projects intended for an external audience. We are responsible for the control of all institutional publications involving the use of the name, seal and logos of the University. This responsibility is carried out primarily through our Identity Guide.
We are happy to help you with the design of your projects. However, if you choose to create your own projects that will be used off campus or that market to prospective or incoming students on behalf of AUIS, then these materials must be reviewed by the Communications Office. We are responsible for ensuring that we deliver a consistent message and appearance in support of AUIS’s mission, vision and brand.
The list below will give you a general idea of which items needs to be designed professionally and which items do not:
Example of items that NEED to be designed professionally:
Brochures and pamphlets
Booklets, viewbooks, handbooks and guidebooks
Posters to be used off campus
Flyers for external distribution
Logos for units of the University
Invitations to University-sponsored events
Merchandise to be sold in AUIS bookstore
Banners and stands for external events
Example of items that do NOT NEED to be designed professionally:
Merchandise for student organizations
Banners, stands, flyers or posters for internal use
Logos for student organizations
Booklets for internal use
We encourage you to review the Identity Guide and reach out to us for assistance and advice. Please read the scheduling guidelines on the request form and submit your design request to both the Communications Director and Publication Manager.
