Douglas Johnson joined APP in 2009. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1994 from the State University of New York at Binghamton (SUNY) and a CELTA certificate in 2005. Before coming to Iraq, he taught in the Arab American University of Jenin (AAUJ) Palestine, and Majan College in Oman. In addition to teaching, he served as acting director of the English Language Center at AAUJ where he established an academic support center and engaged in fundraising for new language facilities.
